Been working around the house getting everything cleaned up to ready for painting. We are gradually painting the whole upstairs as it seems hasn't been done since it was built. The kitchen I really want to get to however I am dreading how many coats we'll end up doing just to cover the orange colour. YES !!! I did say Orange/ burnt red whatever you want to call it... Only reason it is still that colour is I am procrastinating getting started. I think we are going to paint the bottom landing and the hall way next. last year we replaced the bathroom and landing floors and painted the bathroom now on to the hallway and stair for painting. Going with shades of brown all through the house.
The living room is gonna be another tough one as it has extremely high ceiling but again I hate the mushroom colour....
Will post pics whenever we get around to it. Hubby says it's time to re stain the deck grrr has it been 2 yrs already ..CRAP CRAP CRAP !!!!!!!!!
Sharing some experiences, life lessons, and knowledge that life has taught me and keeps teaching me.

Finally.....
I made it back to my blog. It seems that I have problems logging in here after not being here for awhile then it becomes a pain in the butt and just as I am gonna give up it lets me in. Anyhoo I got in and look I still have some time to blog and catch everyone up on what's been happening out here for my family.
Over the summer we once again had a honey do list around the house and pretty much got it all done. I didn't do much gardening this year as I found out that I don't have a green thumb and have really no interest. maybe later in life I will get into it. I love grass, and actually don't mind cutting it either..hahahaha Guess I don't mind watering the garden either. We re did the main bathroom with fresh paint and a new tiled floor. Paul also tiled the entrance way at the front door. Now I have to start painting down there. brighten it up a bit. I have decided to paint in shades of brown through out the house. One room at a time though, might not get to it until Spring.....
Mikayla is first year Middle school, grade 7. Joshua is Grade 1. Both have been adjusting to alot of change. Logan is the midst of potty training and being quite stubborn about it at least at home. I will be back soon....

Wednesday !!!!
Today our new bed arrives. We are gonna want to go to bed really early..LOL Now I will be hunting for a head board and foot board for it. Haven't found exactly the one we want yet !! All in time. I would also like to work on getting the rest of a bedroom suite since we are finally in our own home and don't plan on moving for quite awhile. Moving tends to be hard on furniture. Anyways off I go to vacuum my bedroom before the bed arrives

New Bed...
We finally decided it was time for a new bed. After noticing how sore our backs and necks were getting every morning and how sometimes our night sleep was awful. Yesterday morning around 9 am we had said enough is enough and by 5pm we were the proud owners of a new bed. Now we wait for delivery *sigh* Luckily we only have to wait until Wednesday.

Cloudy Day !!!
We are expecting rain later on today, I don't mind at all we went 3 weeks with nothing but sun.We have completed some more projects around the house since I posted last. I finally have my own laundry. We converted one of our closets into laundry. We bought a stacking front loading set. Works great, extremely quiet, only noticeable thing is when it winds up to 1000rpm for the spin cycle the floor vibrates..lol Logan was quite upset when he saw his blankey in the washer and he couldn't get it back out. As soon as I gave it back to him nice and clean and dry he never let go of it for about 45 mins..LOL
We've also been doing more gardening and building up the flower beds around the yard. The vegetable garden is doing very well. We seem to have tons of tomatoes coming, I just wonder how many will actually ripen.
Logan has become a going concern that is for sure, he's shy of 18 months and has been getting into everything..lol *sigh* Long toddler stage ahead..LOL
We are also planning a trip for the end of summer vacation along with some day trips for the kids. Time to relax a bit....

Yard Update !!
Well Sunday we spent all day outside in the front yard cleaning up an area of the garden that we have decided that once we get rid of the yard trimmings we are going to plant grass seed. We took out all the dead cedar bushes out from the front and pulled up as much cedar trimmings and waste that had built up over the years.....We had already pruned the yellow bush and now just waiting for a bob cat of some sort to come and pull up the root ball, shovel just isn't gonna do it. Luckily we were able to dig out the cedars pretty easily. The main goal here is to make it easy to maintain until we decide what we really want to do. We need to clean up the mess left behind before starting anything. The pictures aren't the greatest but hope you get the idea..no yellow bush or cedar trees or at least the pile of rubbish in the yard..lol
Soon have to think about tomatoes plants and cucumbers. I think they go in late May ???

Getting it done....
We spent the weekend working on the kitchen, all day yesterday we worked on the ceiling and got it painted and changed the light above the kitchen sink. Today hubby replaced the light above the table with a ceiling fan. Looks much better then the crap the previous owners left us. One more light fixture to change and the kitchen will be done.
This week sometime our 2 inch wooden blinds will arrive and be installed. I can't wait. The kitchen is going to look great !
Here are the pictures BEFORE and AFTER shots...

Been 1 week...
Well we have been in our new place for a week now. It sure is starting to feel like home. It has been a busy week that is for sure between cable guys, telus guys, hotwater tank replacement, to window covering measuring, and of course we had our deck done too. Thursday we had all here at the same time doing their thing..lol What a zoo.
Mikaya did well changing schools once they had her in the right class...lol Apparently there was 2 Mikayla's starting school there...My Mikayla showed the other one didn't. The teacher thought she was awfully tall, she didn't like that she walks home and was expecting her to struggle in some areas. Mikayla was looking around the classroom and realized HEY I AM IN THE WRONG CLASS!!!! She politely tells the teacher I'm in grade 5 not 2..Well then the teacher thought that would explain alot.....So within a hour or so they had it all straightened out and she is now in her proper class and grade..lol
Other then that the move went pretty smooth. The weather did decide to co operate. We were worried about that. As soon as I find my cord to upload pictures to my computer I will post some pictures of the house moved in.....
Blog later.

The next few days....
I'll be off line over the next few days as we move into our new house. Basically we are done all we can do for now. Everything is packed. Few items are left out for us until Saturday. We are hoping to get possession on Friday around noon. The weather is supposed to rain most of the weekend. The timing is horrible in that respect.
In any case we will have possession by 4pm. We plan on taking a few loads of boxes over in the van. Get a head start on the kitchen stuff and the kids toys. Get Logan settled and make sure there is toilet paper in the bathroom. Nothing worse then having to go and there isn't even a sheet of toilet paper..lol Had a few times of moving and that happening....
Saturday morning will be an early start. taking the beds apart and loading the truck. I managed to get most of the cleaning done as I was packing. All that will be left is to wash the floors, vacuum and carpet clean.
There shouldn't be anything left to even pack at the last minute. We have been very organized this move...
Look forward to blog next week from my new home and share how the move went. I won't leave out any of the juicy details..hehehe

Kids...
Today on the way to Joshua's daycare we stopped in at our new house. As we sat in the driveway I pointed out to Joshua his bedroom. He is very excited about moving. Mikayla is excited as well she can't wait to start her new school and be in the new house. She is quite interested in seeing how her room is gonna be set up. Logan of course will be happy to be there..lol
We already have begun a hardware store list.... We are going to have so much fun sorting stuff out and shopping for the things we need. Don't ask Paul though he may have a different opinion of it being FUN ...LOL
Anyways stay tuned to hear all about the house.....

Paint....
Well today i spent some time looking at paint colours and went to a couple stores to look. Cloverdale paint and Benjamin Moore Out of the 2 I liked going to Ben gamin because they actually help pick out the colour rather then just selling you what you think you want.....
If you have no idea about decorating, this is the place to go. The paint may be a bit more expensive but you get the education along with it.

Moving Plans
Well we are getting closer to the move out date. It is definitely going to be a rush deal. Hopefully the people moving in here won't show up right at 1pm. Just hate having people waiting, only adds more pressure to the whole day.
Most of everything is already packed waiting and whatever isn't yet will be. I have to be careful with lifting because I don't want to aggravate Harry the Hernia.
As for our moving crew, we have 4 guys if not 5. The truck should be loaded fairly quickly. I'll have the van loaded with the necessary things and be over at the new place with the kids while the guys load up the truck.
As far as cleaning here well most of that is already done. Just will need a wipe over once again closer to move day.

Looking back
I'm sitting here thinking about the past couple years. When I think about them, all I can say is busy times. I am going to do a quick run down of the events over the last few years for those who are just tuning in. I met Paul ( Husband) for the second time actually in early summer of 2005. The first time we met was about 6 years ago or so, both seemed to want different things back then. He was living in Penticton and came down as often as he could. After a few months of dating , we decided to live together. He moved in with us here in Chilliwack. At this time we were living in a 2 bedroom apt. We spent our first Christmas together.
Valentine's 2006, Paul proposed to me. Then in May we moved into a split level 3 bedroom house. A few days after we had moved in I found out I was pregnant with Logan. I took a home test one day while Paul was at work. I was in complete shock, I mean we were trying but I never expected it to happen this fast. Paul wasn't too surprised later that day when I told him but he was happy.
September 2006 we got married. We had an outside wedding and the reception inside the hall on the same property. If I could I would get married all over again..lol I look at my dress often. I am currently trying to figure out what I can turn my dress into so I can wear it again.
Feb 11 2007 Logan Joseph was born at 6:29am at MSA General Hospital in Abbotsford. Things were up in the air for awhile with a newborn and all.
Just as we thought things were gonna calm down a bit, we were all settled into the house and the kids were all in their routines. WRONG..... We are now moving AGAIN but this time into our own house !! YES ! We have managed to qualify for a mortgage. We have gone into a house with Paul's mom.... Technically we own 1/2 a house..lol
In the last few years our lives has changed dramatically. I have become a mother of 3, wife and a homeowner. All the things that I always wanted. Paul and I both are very happy and amazed that in such a short time we have achieved all this.Neither one of us expected that everything would fall into place like it has.
One thing I haven't touched on was Paul and his employment. Within a few months of taking whatever at first when he moved. He got his current job through a friend and has been there ever since. Up to this point everything has fallen into place. Guess it is our turn. Should have bought lotto tickets too..lol
I will add some photos of the events I have mentioned.
