It's raining today, so much for sunny spring break. For this reason I think that they should have Spring Break later like how about in Spring, not before it. Much more enjoyable instead of being in class on warm days. Hopefully next year when we go to 2 weeks instead of just 1 they will schedule it better, one can hope anyways.
What to do today, the kids are pretty much ready to go back to school and regular routine. I know I am ready for them to back to school......

Feb Stat Holiday
www.gopetition.com search for glowing hearts. For a Febuary stat holiday. Here is the idea. You were there. You watched it, you felt it, and you
reveled in it. Let us honour our great 2010 Olympic Games, the
wellspring of National Pride that we all felt and our TWO Gold Medal
Team Canada Hockey Teams, and all our Olympic ...heroes, by creating a new
Provincial Statutory Holiday to be named "Glowing Hearts Day" in
British Columbia.

Halloween 2008
I never realized how far I had let my blog go. Sheesh I didn't even blog about Halloween. I usually am right on top of things....Anyways i guess better then never i suppose. anyways on to Halloween. Not only am i late but i am doing the posts backwards..lol I'll just say I am doing that part on purpose.hehehehe
I went with Joshua and the rest of his K class to the pumpkin patch on Halloween. It was sprinkling rain off and on all day. We knew it would be wet and we were as prepared as we could be. As soon as we arrived at the patch and was getting off the bus and on to the hay wagon its started to pour. I was drenched in seconds. I am so glad Joshua was wearing his splash pants and rain coat. Nothing worse then a whinny kid when they are uncomfortable and there is nothing you can do for them at the moment.
So we collected our pumpkins and quickly headed back into the barn to look at the animals and have hot chocolate and a story read to us. Then back onto the bus and back to school.
Later that day after getting all dry, we dressed up the kids and Dad took the out tricker treating around our neighbourhood. While they were out, I had 5 kids come to our house. THAT'S IT !!! I know I was quite surprised. Dad and the kids came back a couple hours later with a big bag of candy, plus what i had bought to give away. They are set for along time now..LOL

Valentines Day !!
Well let's take a few moments and reflect on what does this day mean to us. I don't buy into the idea that your spouse should break the bank account on this day and buy a ridiculously over priced dozen of roses. Secondly how many red and white teddy bears can one own. Then what really annoys me is the fact that kids these days expect a gift on that day as well. I think what happened was some parents decided that kids deserve something too. As a kid I remember celebrating it at school with exchanging cards and having a party. I don't recall ever getting anything from my parents and I don't remember any of my friends getting anything either.
Anyways enough ranting on the subject..... I will always remember Valentine's Day because Paul proposed to me on Feb 11/ 2006.. He tried to wait until the 14th but couldn't..lol Worked out that the day Paul proposed is Logan's birthday. It obviously was meant to work that way..lol
